Motherwell Paragon Speedway (Airbles Road)

Motherwell has had two homes of speedway. This page is concerned with speedway at The Paragon Speedway, Clyde Valley Sports Ground, Airbles Rd., Motherwell, Lanarkshire where racing was staged in 1930 and 1932.  It operated as a training track come open venue in 1930.

I am told  It was 1930 practice and in 1932 probably 2 meetings completed and 2 rained off.  The weather in the 1930's was evidently no better than it is now!
