Lisburn Speedway
 
Lambeg Stadium, Lambeg, Lisburn, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland
Lambeg Stadium was better known as a trotting track.  However, speedway was tried at the venue.  The promotion staged speedway there on 2, 3 or 4 occasions during 1971!  They were planning to stage more meetings but were so disappointed by the small crowds attracted to the opening meetings that they shelved their plans and the stadium with its big fast track was lost to speedway.

Meeting no 4  23/7/71  Lambeg 31 Dublin 41.. 
The meeting due for 13/8/71 was cancelled due to interment( THE IRISH TROUBLES). 
INTERESTING the track record was by Larry Murry ht 1 on 31/7 nothing for that date 67.1. 
Thats what I have been given so far,I have not had 1 reply from Belfast, still, it's a bit more for the website.
