Hi John, I ( Ken Mellor) was signed by Aldershot in 1959 having spent the 1958 season in France with the likes of Ray Day, Tommy Roper, George Bason, Geoff Harris etc;

Most of my highs and lows can be found on my rider profile on the World Speedway Riders website {VSRA}, which you have my OK to crib. Mid 1960 I was transferred to Southampton, but was out of my league. Like going from Scunthorpe Utd. to Manchester Utd. Now 75 I'm still active on 2-wheels in vintage events and usually notch up around 3000 miles a year. For the record, the date of the photo is 18 June, 1960. I`m on the outside, Ted Spittles middle and Dennis Day inside. It was a rerun heat and I finished first {honest}! Kind regards Ken
